Abstract:

This essay intends to present the history of the formula: "Holy Scripture is the soul of all theology". Firstly, this formula is considered in the Documents of the Second Vatican Council (OT 16; DV 24). Secondly, the author looks for the sources of this formula in the former Magisterium and theologians. Finally, the appearance of the formula in the official Documents of the Magisterium from the Second Vatican Council is examined.
