Abstract:

En este ensayo se estudian tres géneros literarios que estructuran a la Compañía de Jesús: las crónicas, los devocionarios y los sermones. No se analizan como formas discursivas sin historia, sino como tipologías que cambian de una época a otra. Estas tipologías discursivas configuran una articulación específica en cada época. Lo que se busca es mostrar cómo se relacionan estos tres géneros entre los jesuitas durante los siglos xvi y xvii.

This paper studies the three literary genres that provide structure to the Society of Jesus. These genres are the chronics, devotion books and sermons. One can not study these genres as non-discursive forms, without a relationship to history. One must study these genres as discursive typologies that change from one period of time to another. These discursive typologies make up a specific articulation in each time period. This paper tries to study the relationship between these three genres in light of the Jesuit dynamics, during the xvi and xvii centuries.
